Recently had two trips with Capt. Charles. One for Peacock bass, and one for Mahi, could not have asked for any better trips. He was very professional, and put us on the fish right away so there wasn’t any wasted time looking for the fish. I know this can’t be done every trip but it was for us. My wife and I fish often so we were not that dependent on help but Capt. Charles made sure my wife put the fish in the boat.
I highly recommend his charter if you are looking in the Miami, Key Largo, Key West area.

This trip was AWESOME!! From the moment we met the captain and stepped off the boat to leave it was a great time! We caught so many beautiful Peacock Bass on our trip! Captain put us right on them and is very knowledgeable on these fish and how to catch them. Captain was also very friendly and we never had a second we didn’t have a rigged up rod ready to throw in with bait on it! If I go back to Florida to fish this is who our charter will be again. Super awesome time and great experience, I throughly recommend Salty Fresh to be your choice on guided fishing in Florida if you want to catch!

Captain Charles took us out for my Birthday cruise and it could not have been better. Chartered out early in the morning and wound up 1/4 of the way to the Bahamas without even noticing it. He was a true professional with an expertise in all of the local fishes, great understanding for all of the proper baits and spots. Trip could not have gone better and I hope you are able to have as much fun as we did out on our oceanic adventure!

Awesome guide!! Captain Charles is super chill and knowledgeable on a variety of species. He asked what we wanted, he recommended many options and what was better because he wanted to put us on fish. We went out with Captain Charles for a six-hour adventure recently. It was a fantastic trip. Minutes after I booked the trip, Charles reached out to me to confirm the trip and inquire about what was important to us so he could tailor the day to meet our wishes. He stayed in communication right up to trip time and let us know where to go, what to expect, etc. The boat was a great size for the 6 of us. Captain Charles is obviously an experienced boatman and fisherman. He knew what to look for, where to find the fish, and how to get them on the line and in the boat. He fileted them for us and we had a fabulous fish dinner that night. Not only was he a true professional, but Captain Charles was a lot of fun as well. He made the day one we’ll never forget. We have fished all over the country and this was the best experience by far. The 3 of us are all very different in our fishing skills, a novice, intermediate, and experienced, each of us were well cared for and each of us enjoyed ourselves immensely. The captain was so knowledgeable and friendly. He worked really hard to make sure we were on fish the entire time. He had cold water and gatorade for our trip. The boat was clean and comfortable. He kept us moving, so if a stop did not offer a bite he had us to the next location quickly. We were able to catch a number of species and some really big fish for the type targeted. The pictures only show a glimpse of what we caught. There was plenty of live bait, which the captain had ready constantly. I don’t think there was a moment where one of us was without a rod in the water and almost always at least three fishing poles going. We could not have asked for more or a better time. We have never used the same guide twice, but we will be back to fish with Captain Charles again!

My expectations were far exceeded on both our excursions with Captain Charles! My husband and I started with Peacock Bass our first day, which was a great place to start for a novice like myself. Unlike my husband, I don’t have a lot of experience fishing. I didn’t know what to expect from the adventure, let alone if I’d catch anything. Not only did we catch plenty of fish, Charles also taught me a lot of tips and tricks, which made me more confident and I had a blast!
Our second trip was in the wrecks and reefs. What makes fishing with Captain Charles so different than others, is he’s a diver as well, so he knows the waters well. He was very knowledgeable on all the type of fish we caught, as well as knowing where and what methods work best. I highly recommend your next fishing charter is with Salty Fresh!
